when making a pair of glasses, one of the most important measurements is the distance between pupils or PD. This measurement ensures that the centre of the lenses of the glasses corresponds with the centre of each pupil.

There are a few ways of measuring this, its actually quite simple.

You can measure it yourself simply by measuring with a ruler the distance between the centres of your pupils, like this:
